- To work with the local community; help identify and respond to its needs.
- To encourage community integration and so enable the Centre to fulfil its goals.
- To share information about local resources and activities; creating an awareness of neighbourhood community provision.
- To open up conversation between local community residents via common interest groups, facilitating greater sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as developing a more empathic understanding of local social problems.
- To raise HYCC’s profile so community knows of its existence and purpose.
